The Baltimore Ravens have had a plethora of players miss time lately from training camp practice. On Thursday, Baltimore saw several make their return.
Left tackle Ronnie Stanley, cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis, tight end Isaiah Likely, and running back Melvin Gordon are back on the practice field according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
Stanley played in 11 games last season after only suiting up for seven games the previous two years due to having season-ending ankle surgery in each. It's essential to keep him upright to help protect quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Armour-Davis getting back into the mix for Baltimore is critical because they will be without All-Pro cornerback Marlon Humphrey for the next month. This caused them to sign DeAndre Houston-Carson and claim Tae Hayes off waivers for additional depth as well.
Likely left practice with a contusion earlier this week, but no specifics came out about it. During his rookie campaign in 2022, Likely played in 16 games with two starts and hauled in 36 receptions for 373 yards and three touchdowns. He’s looking to elevate his game so that he can have a bigger role alongside Mark Andrews at tight end.
Gordon was signed back in July for depth behind J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards. However, with rookie Keaton Mitchell also in the mix, Gordon needs all the reps he can get to secure a roster spot.
Regardless, this is great news for the Ravens getting these guys back.
