The Denver Broncos have a position group that is super talented but has really yet to do anything crazy. The pressure is more than on them.

The Broncos have a really, really talented roster, and I don't think anyone will dispute that. Do they have their holes? Sure. Do they have flaws? Most definitely. But, with Sean Payton now at the helm, a coach with some championship experience, the Broncos should be used to their full potential.

Last year was awful, as we all know. The Broncos had the worst offense in the league, and Russell Wilson looked like a shell of himself. After the offensive line adjustments, the hiring of Payton, and a few other things, the pressure is on for Wilson.

He has to at least show improvements this year. If he is anywhere remotely close to as bad as he was last year, things could get really bad for Wilson. In other words, we could see backup quarterback Jarett Stidham start some games.

But we all know that Wilson has the most pressure on him when it comes to the players. However, if there is one position group that has more pressure on them as a whole to succeed, it's the wide receiver group, and it isn't close.

Think about how talented the group is. Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton alone are good enough to have everyone in the league calling about them to see if they are available. Jeudy is considered to be one of the best route runners in football, and Sutton has one of the better catch radii in football, with an added ability to high-point the ball.

Then you add in everyone else, like Tim Patrick, a great red zone threat, and all of the guys with elite speed. Oh, and there is the rookie Marvin Mims, who is projected to have a decent role in 2023.

This group has never really been healthy all at the same time, as crazy as it sounds. The core of Patrick, Jeudy, Sutton, and Hamler have been on the team together since 2020. But they have not all been healthy at the same time till this upcoming season, so one would assume the pressure is on them.

After the offense was the worst in the league, a new offensive genius came in; the receivers have to be good. There is no other way around it.

Training camp is where it will start for these guys. If they can put together a good training camp and carry that over into the season, they should be set. We will have to see, but knowing the pressure is on them, let's hope they rise to the occasion.
