The Las Vegas Raiders have two new quarterbacks in 2023, and one of them is already bragging about the other.

Training camp is here, and the Las Vegas Raiders have many new pieces on the roster, especially on the offensive side. Every quarterback except Chase Garbers, the that is on this roster, is new. Jimmy Garoppolo and Brian Hoyer have a prior relationship with Josh McDaniels, but they have never played for the Raiders.

Of course, there is the rookie Aidan O'Connell too, who is already wearing No. 4 and reminding people of Derek Carr.

But Hoyer and Garoppolo will be the main quarterbacks in this system. Garoppolo, who is making a ton of money this year, is the expected starter; Hoyer is the backup.

This offseason saw a lot of drama shaping the season; as we know, this league is one of the best drama TV shows ever created. Fans and media hated the Garoppolo signing, especially after the team let Carr walk, and they missed out on drafting one of the top quarterbacks in the draft; so, the frustration does make sense.

However, things have been going well for Garoppolo so far. He had a rough first day throwing the ball, but that's expected for someone who hasn't actually played since Week 12 of last season. On Tuesday, he looked great at camp and was making many throws, according to the media on-site.

Not only that, but Hoyer seems to be raving about Garoppolo too, which should only help fans feel better about the whole situation.

"Jimmy [Garoppolo] is cool," Hoyer told reporters. "He's a great leader. When I say cool, like cool, calm, collected, always under control. I think I've always said, like, the greatest trait for a quarterback is just to stay even keel. You don't get too high. You don't get too low. I think he's the definition of that. He's played a lot of great football, and I think the guys respect him, and that's a huge part of playing quarterback."

Garoppolo may not have been the preferred quarterback to come in and take over, but he has some good qualities. Hopefully, he stays healthy enough that we can see those.
