The Moonshine Mountain Cookie Company NIL deal that debuted with former Tennessee Vols cornerback Alontae Taylor in 2021 will return in 2023.
Redshirt senior wide receiver Bru McCoy posted on his Instagram account this weekend that he'll be this year's "Cookie Monster" for the Vols.
"Excited to be this year's Cookie Monster! Best cookies in Knoxville and it ain’t close," wrote McCoy.
If McCoy catches two touchdowns passes in a game this season, then Moonshine Mountain Company will give away two free cookies.
(McCoy caught four touchdown passes last season, but he never had two touchdown receptions in a game.)
Former Vols wide receiver Cedric Tillman was the "Cookie Monster" last season.
Unfortunately, Tillman suffered an ankle injury early in the season that forced him to miss a significant amount of action last season. As a result, Tillman only had two touchdowns receptions in a game once last season (against South Carolina).
McCoy should be a focal point of the offense for the Vols this fall, which means he should have plenty of opportunities to deliver some free cookies for fans in East Tennessee.
