Former Tennessee wide receiver Chas Nimrod will make his return to Neyland Stadium this weekend when Auburn visits for a matchup against the Vols.

Nimrod spent the first three seasons of his college career at Tennessee before transferring to USF to join former Vols offensive coordinator Alex Golesh.

The former Vol followed Golesh to Auburn earlier this offseason.

Nimrod met with reporters on Wednesday and he was asked about returning to Tennessee this weekend.

“I really don’t look at it as much more than just another game,” said Nimrod. “You could make it out to be bigger than what it is, but there’s no bad blood or anything. So I just look at it as another game.”

Nimrod added that he still talks with Vols punter Jackson Ross from time to time.

“Their punter, Jackson Ross, I talked to him last week,” said Nimrod. “I mean, obviously I can’t talk to him during the week, but after the game, we’ll be able to chop it up a bit.”

Nimrod is off to a great start for the Tigers this season with 22 receptions for 240 yards and two touchdowns.

The former three-star recruit, caught 29 passes for 315 yards and one touchdown during his three seasons on Rocky Top.

Nimrod saw a boost in production during his one season at USF, despite playing in only seven games. The Arkansas native caught 23 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns last season.
