Philadelphia Eagles fans that weren't waiting outside of the team's Pro Shop since 3:30 a.m. were probably refreshing the online store at home over and over again. They're finally here, the long-awaited, much-anticipated Eagles' "Kelly Green" throwbacks were announced Monday morning on social media.

Talk about some old-school goosebumps. Now, the Eagles will be able to wear the colors the franchise used between 1985 and 1995. The franchise hopes to represent the "style that symbolized the grit and grind of the early '90s Eagles."

The Eagles also announced when they will wear the throwback jerseys, which will be twice in 2023:

  • Week 7 vs Miami Dolphins (SNF)
  • Week 12 vs Buffalo Bills

Oddly enough, both games are against AFC opponents. Perhaps that has more to do with the fact that these will be some of the best games of the Eagles' season.

The Eagles' video announcement was narrated by the iconic Philadelphian DJ Jazzy Jeff, adding even more nostalgia to what fans were desperately waiting for. Seeing Jalen Hurts rock the same colors as Randall Cunningham once did sure is special. But watching it happen in a game will be even better.

For now, the Eagles' preparation continues in training camp.
