Prior to last season, there were major concerns about the future of New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Many thought that his athleticism didn't make up for his lack of down-the-field ability and decision-making. Turnovers were an issue, and the offense felt anemic at times. Of course, that wasn't all his fault – as the Giants lacked talent at skill positions outside of Saquon Barkley. Last year, Jones took a major step forward under Head Coach Brian Daboll. Jones is set to do that once again this season with an improved offensive line and pass catchers.

One of those talents is rookie wide receive Jalin Hyatt, who has caught plenty of eyes during training camp already. His dynamic speed and ability to make tough plays is opening up the Giants offense for his QB. Jones made a great, tight-window throw to Hyatt on Monday at practice.

The trust between Jones and Hyatt is clear – based on a play like that. In the past, Jones would not have the confidence in his guy to make that play. Now, with Hyatt and other pass catchers on his offense, he does.

Jones won't have to play quite as passively if he sees a window on an intermediate or deep throw. Instead, he can air it out and give his receivers more chances to make massive plays to change games. Not to mention, those plays will only open up the running game for Jones and Barkley even further.

Overall, adding an electric player like Hyatt could go a long way in Jones' development going forward. They are ecstatic about him as an addition to the roster.
