The 2023 regular season gets one step closer to starting on Thursday when the New York Jets take on the Cleveland Browns in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
This obviously won't be a 60-minute showdown between Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson, but it still gives the players at the bottom of the roster a chance to catch the attention of their respective coaching staffs
And, of course, it's organized football. The Hall of Fame ceremony is typically fun to watch, as well. This year's class includes names such as Ronde Barber, Don Coryell, Chuck Howley, Joe Klecko, Darrelle Revis, Ken Riley, Joe Thomas, Zach Thomas, and DeMarcus Ware.
Below is information on how to watch the game, as well as a few storylines involved with the Jets.

Can the Jets get a bead on the offensive line?
With Aaron Rodgers coming to New York, the main question for the Jets offense will be how well they can protect the 39-year-old. Mekhi Becton will play for the first time in what feels like 2 years. Between Becton, Turner and Mitchell, who will emerge as the starting right tackle once Duane Brown reclaims his spot at left tackle?
What does Zach Wilson look like?
While all the focus is on Aaron Rodgers for at least the next two years, lets not forget the former No. 2 overall pick is still on the team and waiting to take over. Zach Wilson will get some snaps in this game, albeit with mostly backups. Has he learned anything since we last saw him?
3 Jets players to watch
- WR Jason Brownlee: Brownlee has been on fire in training camp making highlight catches and drawing the eye of coaches and Aaron Rodgers including this doozy. He might be a part of the offense once the regular season starts and it will be interesting to see how he does against other competition.
- C Joe Tippmann: It’s no secret that the Jets’ plan going into the NFL draft was to make sure they took Tippmann in the second round to take over the starting center gig. So far Tippmann has been able to shine in camp and the more time passes, the less of a chance he will be snapping to Aaron Rodgers this season.
- RB Israel Abanikanda: "Izzy" was drafted in the fifth round out of Pitt in the 2023 draft and is a home run in a bottle. Dalvin Cook hasn’t signed with the Jets and Breece Hall is still recovering from his ACL injury. Izzy will get an opportunity to steal some carries from Michael Carter and Zonovan Knight if he finds a seem.
