To say the Dallas Cowboys are cooking with gas on Tuesday is an understatement.
They signed OL Chuma Edoga and running back Ronald Jones after successful visits, and also re-signed Rico Dowdle to add depth to the offensive backfield.
Add another familiar face to the Cowboys roster as edge rusher Dante Fowler has re-signed to a one-year deal.
Dallas brought in Fowler in 2022 because of his pedigree for bringing down quarterbacks, and his connection to defensive coordinator Dan Quinn (played for him at Florida and the Atlanta Falcons).
It paid off as Fowler finished tied for third with DeMarcus Lawrence in sacks with six (his highest total since 11.5 in 2019), and he did so without logging a single start. Fowler also had nine quarterback hits and seven tackles for loss in his 343 snaps.
Fowler not only provides valuable depth on the edge but his ability to rush from either side increases his value.
The Cowboys now have their core of pass rushers back together with Micah Parsons, Lawrence, Fowler, Sam Williams, and Dorance Armstrong.
