Several former Tennessee Vols players are expected to be selected in the 2023. NFL Draft next month.

The Vols could have as many as eight players drafted, though it's more likely to be six or seven players.

One of ESPN's top draft analysts believes two of the Vols who are drafted will be selected higher than folks are expecting.

Matt Miller, one of the more well-respected draft analysts in the business, said this week that he expects former Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker and former UT offensive tackle Darnell Wright to go higher in the draft than people think.

Miller has spoken with several NFL teams about Hooker and Wright so I'd say he has a pretty good idea of what he's talking about here.

Most mock drafts have Wright going in the latter half of the first round, though I've seen him go as high as No. 14 in some mock drafts.

Hooker, meanwhile, has been going in the second or third round of recent mock drafts. NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah, however, has Hooker going to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 23 overall in his latest mock draft.

The Vols haven't had a player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft since 2017 when the Philadelphia Eagles selected pass rusher Derek Barnett with the No. 14 overall selection.
