Tennessee Vols wide receiver Cedric Tillman is set to take part in the NFL Draft combine this week in an effort to boost his draft stock.

Entering the 2022 season, Tillman was viewed as a potential first-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Las Vegas native was the SEC's returning leading wide receiver in 2022. And the expectation was that Tillman would have an even bigger season in 2022 than he had in 2021.

Unfortunately for Tillman, he suffered an ankle injury in Tennessee's third game of the season (a win against Akron). That injury caused Tillman to miss seven games in 2022 (including the Orange Bowl against Clemson, which Tillman sat out as a precaution).

If Tillman has a good showing at the combine, he could solidify himself as a second-round pick and possibly sneak into the first round.

Tillman was asked on Friday at the combine about the best cornerback he faced while at Tennessee.

The former Vol admitted that Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo was the best cornerback he played against.

Tillman and Ringo had a good back-and-forth battle this past season in Athens. You could certainly tell it was two elite players going against each other.

Ringo got the best of Tillman on one route where Ringo made an impressive interception after essentially running the route for Tillman.

Tillman, however, made Ringo look silly on another play.

Tillman ended up catching seven passes for 68 yards against Georgia this past season. In 2021, Tillman had 10 receptions for 200 yards against the Bulldogs.

Ringo is projected as a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Tillman showed he can more than hold his own against Ringo, which should help the former Vol's draft stock a bit.
