The Denver Broncos are trying to have a bounce back campaign in 2023. 2022 went about as poorly as they could have imagined, but there were some obstacles they didn't expect, too.

Nathaniel Hackett simply wasn't an NFL head coach, yet at least. He struggled mightily in his first season in the role, so they ripped off the bandage quickly.

Accordingly, they chose to take a massive swing in replacing him. The Broncos hired future hall of fame coach Sean Payton to get them back on track.

He returns to the NFL after a year off from the sidelines.

Last season, injuries decimated key pieces to the Broncos roster. On both sides of the ball, important players dealt with a plethora of injuries, many of which kept them off of the field.

This season and beyond, Payton is doing this best to ensure that does not happen again in Denver. Injuries are unpredictable, but conditioning can make an emphatic difference.

On Friday, Sean Payton and the Broncos announced that they are hiring Beau Lowery to be the team's Vice President of Player Health and Performance.

Lowery most recently worked as LSU's Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer for their football team. His role in Denver will involve athletic training, strength and conditioning, nutrition and sports science.

Lowery previously worked with Payton in New Orleans with the Saints, too.

Payton is clearly excited to add him to the Broncos organization.

"Beau Lowery is the best I've ever been around. He was a complete game-changer for us in New Orleans who reshaped how we operated in our training room and throughout our sports performance areas.

We are excited to welcome Beau to the Broncos and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our team."

This is another step forward to fix woes that haunted the Broncos last season. Payton has a clear vision in Denver, and that should get fans excited for their future.
