The Steelers are making it known that they intend to have a strong secondary in 2023. First came the signing of Patrick Peterson and now we have the return of safety Damontae Kazee.

First reported by Jordan Schultz of The Score, Kazee has signed a two-year deal to stay in the black and gold.

Kazee returns after a one-year stint in Pittsburgh that proved to be fruitful for the veteran defensive back.

He recorded two interceptions, two pass breakups, and 20 tackles, playing sparingly across nine games.

Kazee's contract will be telling, but for now, it's safe to assume he sees an increased role in 2023. The 2018 NFL interception leader, his ball-hawking will be appreciated yet again. (Stats via Pro Football Reference)
