We've already seen a wild start to NFL free agency this week. Several of the deals that have been struck involve former Tennessee Vols standouts.

Cornerback Cam Sutton, who spent the first six years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, signed a three-year deal with the Detroit Lions on Monday.

On Tuesday, we learned that one of Sutton's former Vols teammates will be joining him in Motown.

The Lions also signed former Tennessee cornerback Emmanuel Moseley this week.

Moseley, who is coming off a torn ACL he suffered in Week 5 last season, agreed to a one-year deal with Detroit on Tuesday.

Note: Deals can't become official until the new league year begins on Wednesday afternoon.

Moseley, who was a senior at Dudley High School in North Carolina when former Vols QB Hendon Hooker was a freshman, played with Sutton at Tennessee from 2014 to 2016.

Before Moseley's injury last season, he was one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. PFF, in fact, rated him as the No. 30 cornerback in the league before he tore his ACL (better than half the starting cornerbacks). He also allowed just a 63.5 passer rating when he was targeted.

Sutton and Moseley could provide the Lions with one of the better secondaries in the NFL. And Moseley, if he stays healthy, could be in line for an even bigger deal in 2023.
