Even though the start of free agency is still a little under a week away, the Philadelphia Eagles are staying busy as they search for a way to remain one of the top teams in the NFL.

While the moves with the players haven't begun yet, Philly has been hard at work to fill several holes created by key staff departures.

With the offensive and defensive coordinator openings addressed, the Eagles have begun to fill the other holes accordingly.

The newest addition to this retooled coaching staff is former Temple defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot.

Eliot has coached across the college football landscape at the highest level for over two decades, and while his one year in the DC role with the Owls was relatively disappointing, the hope is that his years of experience will shine with a very talented Eagles defense.

The new linebackers coach for the Eagles has essentially done it all on the defensive side of the ball during his time in college football, and the hope is that this experience will bode well for the development of a relatively-young group of Eagles backers.
