A former division rival had a strong message for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins on Wednesday.

Defensive lineman Michael Brockers, a free agent who spent the last two seasons with the Detroit Lions, was in studio on Wednesday morning on NFL Network's Good Morning Football.

Brockers was asked if he thinks Cousins is a quarterback who can lead the Vikings to a Super Bowl.

The former LSU standout made it clear he thinks Cousins can get the job done in Minnesota.

"I believe so," said Brockers when asked if Cousins can lead the Vikings to a Super Bowl. "It's not just him — they have other issues that they need to fix. But if that team puts it all together, I think they can get it done."

The Vikings won the NFC North in Kevin O'Connell's first season as the franchise's head coach. Minnesota should be considered the favorites once again to win the division in 2023 — especially with the Chicago Bears still in the middle of a rebuild and the Green Bay Packers likely moving forward without Aaron Rodgers under center.

The Detroit Lions, however, loom as a big threat — they had a solid finish to the 2022 season.

Detroit's made some nice moves this offseason to improve their roster (specifically on the defensive side of the ball) which has led to quite a bit of preseason hype for the Lions.

But preseason hype doesn't always equate to regular season success. While everyone is jumping on the Detroit bandwagon, it could be the Vikings that walk always with the division and emerge as Super Bowl contenders.
