Vikings DC Brian Flores makes bold statement about released Korn Ferry document regarding his impending lawsuit against the NFL
There was a new development last week with Brian Flores’ lawsuit against the NFL for its hiring practices.
Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores has been running one of the best defenses in the NFL this season, and it’s been that way since he took the job in 2023. He is also the main plaintiff in a lawsuit filed against the NFL for their hiring practices.
On Tuesday afternoon during his media availability, ESPN’s Kevin Seifert asked him about the document from Korn Ferry that was released last week. His response was very simple.
“I prefer to use this forum to talk about our players, our coaches, this team,” said Flores. “I think I’ll probably take this time to just to say that. This forum is about our players, not any personal situation for me. So I’ll just kind of leave it there. I understand the question, respect it, but I think I use this time to talk about our players, our coaches, our team.”
Brian Flores declines to answer question about Korn Ferry document
Last week, tehre was a memo that the Las Vegas Raiders commissioned from Korn Ferry that broke him down as a head coaching candidate.
The language used in the document can easily be deemed “derogatory and/or racist” which has been a major talking point. It’s also one of the main reasons why Flores filed the lawsuit to begin with.
This likely won’t be the first document that gets released as we get into the discovery phase of the lawsuit, and it won’t be the last question Flores gets about it. How he handled the question was great.
As much as we’d like to get more information from Flores about how he really feels about certain things, he’s not going to give us those answers. Choosing to focus his media time on the team is the smart play. When we get to hear from Flores, he can give really insightful answers, and those will be his focus moving forward.
The lawsuit is still ongoing and likely will be for some time.
