The New York Giants have a star in the making on their defensive line. Young edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux impressed last season as a rookie. He totaled just four sacks, but generated plenty of pressure in both the pass and run game. Thibodeaux recorded a 71.9 grade, according to Pro Football Focus

With other talent on the DL like Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams, he didn't always have to take over games. Instead, they combined to be a very solid unit on defense.

Even after a productive rookie campaign, the Giants young rusher isn't satisfied quite yet. He sounds determined and driven in his second offseason in the NFL. That should excite Giants fans.

“Getting sacks, finishing… There were a lot of times when I had a good pass rush that I didn’t finish. You realize the guy on the other side of the line is paid a lot of money. They’re not going to let him get touched. Continuing to sharpen the end of my rush, that third phase and make sure I start to finish.’’

“I had a number on it last year, and I figured out that the season is so long that you have to do it by game… If I can make impactful plays like I was able to do and continue to win, I mean, no one will ever remember [that sack total], right? As long as we win, as long as I continue to play well, play for my teammates I think I’ll be good.’’ — Thibodeaux
