The Las Vegas Raiders could be in a very bad situation soon but McDaniels is smiling away at his recent presser.
The Raiders are just confusing everyone with all of the Jimmy Garoppolo drama at this point. If you still don't know what I'm talking about, they signed him after a failed physical, and if he isn't healthy and fails another physical, they can void his contract at no cost.
But Josh McDaniels doesn't have any anxiety about the situation when honestly he should.
"You guys might have anxiety. I don't have any anxiety," McDaniels said smiling. "I'm not going to put a timeline or a day on anything. But, as I said, I have no anxiety. I feel pretty good about it…
I don't worry about the things I can't control, you know what I mean? And so like I said, I have very good information that, you know, would tell me that, you know, we're going to be fine, you know what I mean? So again, nothing has happened that would have changed that. So that's, that's why I feel that way."
The whole situation is weird, but the way he responded when asked if there was any anxiety about the possibility of not having Garoppolo ready for training camp, was even more weird.
Does he not realize what is at stake? If Garoppolo doesn't work out and can't play, then Brian Hoyer or rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell are your quarterbacks, and sorry, but you aren't winning anything anytime soon with those guys.
I don't know if he realizes that his job is at stake this upcoming season. If things don't get better, I'm sure there will be conversations had. The smiling isn't a great look.
