All aboard the DeAndre Hopkins to Buffalo hype train, once again.
It's been a few weeks since things reached what seemed to be a fever pitch with the Hopkins trade rumors. However, after some silence, the rumor mill is back in full swing from Hopkins himself.
The All-Pro wide receiver has been rumored to be either traded or released from the Arizona Cardinals. With June around the corner and a potential drop designation date coming up, Hopkins's latest interview is turning heads.
When appearing on the IAMATHLETEpod, Hopkins was asked a question about NFL QBs that immediately caused a firestorm among the Bills Mafia and the rest of the league's fans.
Hopkins was asked to provide a list of quarterbacks he wants to have the ball thrown to him for the second half of his career. Almost immediately, Hopkins mentioned Josh Allen.
The All-Pro receiver dove into why Josh Allen was number one on his list, "One of my favorite quarterbacks that I've been watching since he came into the league is Josh Allen. Josh Allen reminds me of a new school Andrew Luck. I love Josh Allen."
Hopkins followed up with Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Herbert to round out his top five. Hopkins had previously been linked to Buffalo almost immediately after the rumors of his trade/release were announced.
Bills Mafia, once again, is excited at the possibility of Hopkins joining Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. From posting a simple message on his IG story talking about "Buffalo," to Brandon Beane opening up on the trade rumors and now Hopkins mentioning Josh Allen by name, things are heating up once again.
While unlikely, the world will be tuning in to any potential update revolving around a Hopkins trade. If he were to land in Buffalo, it wouldn't take long for national pundits and NFL experts to have the Bills as the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
