Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been one of the top players at his position in the NFC for some time now. This season, he will have even better weapons with the addition of veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks and rookie running back Deuce Vaughn. Furthermore, his offensive line will be healthy to open the year. Prescott's play has wavered at times during his NFL career due to his supporting cast.
That being said, Pro Football Focus still lists him as a top ten quarterback in the league right now.
Prescott has shown himself to be one of the most sensitive quarterbacks in the league to changes in his supporting cast. His overall PFF grade has ranged from 71.8 to 85.2 over his career, and those changes tend to go hand in hand with the level of receiving help and blocking in front of him. Prescott’s turnover-worthy play rate has been above 3.0% in each of the past four seasons, but when at his best he can lead one of the top offenses in the game. –PFF

At Prescott's peaks, he is one of the best overall talents in the NFL. During his valleys, he turns the ball over too often. This season, Dallas hopes that they can get a bit more consistency from the offense as a whole.
With the talent around Dak this season, it is easy to have high hopes for the Cowboys. If they can stay healthy, the ceiling is quite high. Prescott is the key to accomplishing goals for Dallas right now, though.
