The Tennessee Titans surprised some folks when they selected quarterback Will Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. That being said, they have a new regime in the front office.

They are constructing the team how they see fit. That was clear from the start of the off-season.

Could the influx of new minds in the Titans front office lead to one of their quarterbacks getting cut before this season begins? It sounds like a possibility for young QB Malik Willis.

NFL insider Ari Meirov believes that Willis could be the QB that gets left behind in a competition between him, Ryan Tannehill, and Will Levis. The front office clearly liked Levis enough to spend legit draft capital on him, and they lack ties to Willis.

The Tennessee Titans traded up in the second round to take Kentucky quarterback Will Levis, leaving Malik Willis — Tennessee’s third-round pick from last year — in a tough position. Willis was thrust into action in his rookie season after Ryan Tannehill suffered an ankle injury. However, Willis struggled to get the offense moving, and the team eventually signed Joshua Dobbs and made him the starter for the season’s stretch run. Keep in mind Willis was drafted by former general manager Jon Robinson, who Tennessee fired last season.

It does make some sense. Willis was a raw, unproven prospect that fell to the Titans in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has tons of physical ability, but the takeaways weren't too positive during his first season. Veteran Josh Dobbs outplayed him to earn the starting role to close the season.

Former Titans GM Jon Robinson is gone, and it seems like Willis may have an uphill battle to stay in Tennessee as well.
