The Las Vegas Raiders just released their details on what exactly will be going on in their 2023 offseason in terms of training camp.
Every year we see teams team up with other teams, in a way, whether we see it in Hard Knocks or through clips on Twitter. Teams invite other teams to their training camp to do joint practices, because unfortunately, the players get tired of playing against the same guys every day, and there is only so much you can do.
Usually, teams will invite a team to their training camp just before they play them in a preseason game. Last year for the Las Vegas Raiders, they invited the New England Patriots, and we saw several videos of Davante Adams cooking the Patriots' defensive backs.
This year we could see some similar videos but against some other teams. The Raiders announced that they will hold joint practices with the Rams in Los Angeles before their second preseason game on August 19, the week after hosting the 49ers for joint practices in Las Vegas.
Last year the Raiders played both of those teams in the regular season and lost both games. They had both of them nearly won. against the Rams, they lost within the last few minutes as Baker Mayfield made his Rams debut just two days after joining the team.
Against the 49ers, we saw probably the best game we saw all year out of the team, even in a loss. They went head to head with one of the best teams in the league and the best defense in the league. Unfortunately, Jarrett Stidham couldn't pull the win out, but he did have an amazing game.
Now they will play both of those teams in the preseason, along with the Arizona Cardinals. Hopefully, the joint practices will help them be better prepared for the regular season.
