The Tennessee Vols learned the kickoff time/TV details this week for their 2023 home-opener and fans probably won't be happy.

Tennessee already knew the kickoff details for their season-opener on September 2 against Virginia in Nashville (11:00 AM CT/12:00 PM ET on ABC) and their matchup on September 16 against Florida (7:00 PM ET on ESPN).

On Tuesday, the time and TV details were announced for Tennessee's game in Knoxville against Austin Peay on September 9.

The game will kick off at 5:00 PM ET — that time isn't the part that fans will take issue with.

Instead, it's the TV details. The game will only be available to watch via the ESPN Plus streaming service — which is the same thing that fans dealt with when the Vols played Akron last season.

The game being available via stream only will make it more difficult for some fans to see the Vols' matchup against Austin Peay.

But this isn't Tennessee's fault.

Every SEC team will have one game that's available exclusively on ESPN Plus. And it makes sense that one of Tennessee's least anticipated games is the choice for the Vols.
