The New York Jets are adding yet another former Packer to their roster. Former Packers safety Adrian Amos is signing a one-year deal worth up to $4 million with the Jets.
Amos had a great tenure in Green Bay. He started 66/66 games during his four years with the team and led the Packers in defensive snaps each season.
Now, Amos is following in the footsteps of many former Packers and joining Aaron Rodgers in the Big Apple. With this signing, almost nine percent of the Jets' 90-man roster are former Packers.
Amos is the eighth former Packer to join the Jets roster. While Aaron Rodgers is the biggest name, there are quite a few former Packers that will have an impact on the Jets. Along with Rodgers and Amos, quarterback Tim Boyle, receivers Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Malik Taylor, and offensive linemen Billy Turner and Adam Pankey played for the Packers before joining the Jets.
This shows the power that Aaron Rodgers has, as many of these signings were favorite teammates of his back in Green Bay. Packers fans will be keeping an eye on the Jets all year, as there are now strong ties between the two teams.
