The Cincinnati Bengals' roster was in a good spot entering the offseason. 

Safety Jessie Bates departed in free agency (as expected), but the bulk of Cincinnati's AFC North division winning roster from last season remains in place. 

The Bengals would've been a Super Bowl contending team again without many additions. But after coming up short against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game last season, it was inevitable that Cincy would make a splash move or two this offseason. 

Cincinnati's biggest move this offseason was arguably the signing of offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr, who previously played for the Chiefs.

Not only did the Bengals land one of the top offensive linemen in the league, but they also stole a key player from Kansas City. 

That's part of the reason why CBS Sports named the addition of Brown as the Bengals' best move of the offseason. 

From CBS Sports: Signing OT Orlando Brown Jr. may have been proof the Chiefs didn't trust their Pro Bowl left tackle to live up to lucrative money, but still, as the 10th-highest-paid at his position, he could prove to be a steal as the new blindside bodyguard for Joe Burrow. Any investment in the star QB's protection is a commendable one.

Brown will play left tackle for Cincinnati while Jonah Williams will move to right tackle (a move that Williams is now ok with after requesting a trade earlier this offseason).
