The Dallas Cowboys have wrapped up their mandatory minicamp and have six weeks off until training camp in Oxnard, California. However, a few of their stars are using their time wisely.
All-Pro linebacker/edge Micah Parsons and 2022 first-round pick Tyler Smith were in attendance over the weekend at All-Pro Von Miller's annual pass-rush summit this past weekend just outside of Vegas.
There were a plethora of other prominent pass rushers who attended including Cam Jordan of the New Orleans Saints, Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Jeffrey Simmons of the Tennessee Titans. Also, several of Miller's teammates were present.
Parsons has worked with retired offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth and has even implemented boxing into his regimen to help with his hands. So, this is just another example of his commitment to mastering his craft, especially learning from a future Hall of Famer like Miller.
Smith could easily stick to taking advice from offensive players or coaches. But what better way to be a better offensive lineman than to learn the little nuances of how pass rushers like get to the quarterback? That's only going to make him even more of a beast than he is now.
Parsons is coming off of back-to-back All-Pro campaigns and Smith was a stud on the offensive line as a rookie, showing his versatility playing left tackle and some left guard. Adding what they learn from Miller to their repertoire will set them up for improved play in 2023.
