2024 four-star wide receiver Amari Jefferson is one of the Tennessee Vols' top recruiting targets.
Jefferson, 6-foot-1/195 lbs from Chattanooga, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 22 athlete in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Tennessee.
The talented athlete would like to play football and baseball in college (he's actually committed to the Vols for baseball, but that's not binding), though it's worth noting that multi-sport players, unfortunately, usually end up sticking to only football in college.
Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee appear to be the three programs with the best shot to land Jefferson.
The Vols had the most recent chance to impress Jefferson as the Tennessee native was in Knoxville this past weekend for his official visit.
And based on Jefferson's tweet after the visit, it went extremely well for the Vols.
"Had a great OV this weekend in Knoxville. Thankful for the memorable weekend I got to spend with the staff and players!" wrote Jefferson in a tweet.
The coveted recruit also shared some photos from the weekend and a video that showed a wild scene in Tennessee's locker room.
Jefferson has already taken official visits to Alabama and Georgia which means the Vols shouldn't have to worry about either of those programs regaining significant momentum in this recruiting battle.
This battle will likely go down to the wire, but it certainly appears that Tennessee is in a really good spot for Jefferson.
