The NFL announced a plethora of suspensions due to violations of the league's gambling policy today. Among them, Titans offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere was included. The most notable player involved may be Indianapolis Colts cornerback Isaiah Rodgers. Rodgers was projected to start on the outside for Indy and be a pivotal piece for their defense. Now, he is suspended indefinitely.
A new nugget of info was released alongside his suspension today, too. One of Rodgers' wagers was a prop bet on the over/under for rushing yards by a Colts running back. He placed a bet that correlated to one of his own teammates.
It's a pretty unbelievable situation for the Colts and their CB. Now, it is unknown if he will play again in the NFL in the future. The Colts waived Rodgers and defensive end Rashod Berry earlier today. Berry was suspended for violating the betting policy as well.
