ESPN’s Pat McAfee reveals celebrity guest picker for Texas vs. Tennessee College Gameday
College football’s premiere pregame show will be in Knoxville on Saturday, and a familiar face will be joining the crew to make game picks.
The eyes of the college football world will be on Knoxville on Saturday, as a very, very busy and important day in the sport will be unfolding. The Tennessee Vols host the top-ranked Texas Longhorns in a battle of top 15 teams. President Donald Trump is expected to be in attendance, which will significantly increase the time for fans to make their way into the stadium.
Oh, yeah, and ESPN’s College Gameday will be on site. The show will set up first on the hill in front of Ayres Hall, which has been their regular spot in recent years. The show will be held there from 9-11 am ET. Then, the show will transfer to inside of Neyland Stadium, where it will finish its last hour, including the picks segments.
With President Trump in attendance, some had mused that perhaps ESPN would make him the guest picker. As Lee Corso would say, not so fast, my friend.
Pat McAfee announced on his show on Thursday that the guest picker is none other than Knoxville native Johnny Knoxville.

“This is one of the best calls I’ve got in my life from you to be the guest picker at Tennessee,” Knoxville said to McAfee. “I bleed orange,” he added as he shuffled through a number of Tennessee shirts and jerseys he was wearing.
Knoxville is an actor and stuntman who leapt into stardom in the popular television show “Jackass”, which also spawned multiple movies. He also has also acted in films such as “Men in Black II”, “The Last Stand”, “Walking Tall”, and “The Dukes of Hazzard”.
