The New York Giants will have to get more out of their pass catchers in 2023 in order to even sustain the playoff success they had last year.
The front office recognized that, allocating both dollars and draft capital to free agent and rookie pass catchers.
But what if I told you the team's best-receiving option this year won't even play WR:
Darren Waller, TE

Waller was traded this offseason as he fell out of favor with Vegas for multiple reasons. The former Pro Bowler has battled injuries the past two seasons, but he has a chance to kill two birds with one stone in 2023:
The Giants are often pegged as having one of the lesser pass-catching groups in the league because they have been either injured or incapable over the past three seasons.
A healthy and productive Waller can re-write the narrative that plagues New York's offense, and the stereotype that he has developed as being injury prone. And the chances of Waller being the team's leading receiver are higher than you think:
A seam stretcher that is unguardable by virtually any defender, a healthy Waller will feast across the middle of the field thanks to the heavy rushing attack that New York wants to employ, with easy shots coming off play action.
I know the old cliche about "ifs" but If Waller is right, Saquon is back, and Daniel Jones is firing on all cylinders, don't be surprised if you look up and see Waller as the player atop the receiving yardage for the Giants.
2023 stat prediction for Giants rookie WR Jalin Hyatt
Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt will look to have a big rookie season for the New York Giants in 2023.
