The Tennessee Vols are one of the teams in the mix for 2025 four-star quarterback Deuce Knight.
Knight, 6-foot-4/192 lbs from Lucedale, MS, is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 6 quarterback in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Mississippi.
The talented quarterback has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Ole Miss, among others.
Knight recently spoke to On3 about his interest in the Vols.
The Mississippi native told On3 that he enjoys visiting Tennessee because of the "people".
“It’s always a good time when I’m up at Tennessee,” said Knight to On3. “Being around Coach (Josh) Heuepel and Coach (Joey) Halzle, they always make sure to show a lot of love to me and my family. You already know what’s up with the Tennessee offense, but I got to sit in the meetings during the spring and I got to spend two days…It feels like I’m a player on the team and I was in all those meetings with those guys.”
“What keeps bringing me back are the people up there,” added Knight. “The coaching staff shows a lot of love — they’re genuine people."
Ole Miss is very much in the mix for Knight as well. In fact, Knight took a visit to Oxford on Wednesday.
Knight isn't the only 2025 quarterback the Vols are pursuing. Tennessee is also in the mix for five-star quarterback George MacIntyre and four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava (the younger brother of Vols true freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava). MacIntyre, who is from Brentwood, TN, appears to be at the top of Tennessee's recruiting board.
