Tennessee is giving Vols fans something they’ve been requesting for years.

The program announced on Thursday that Neyland Stadium will have a new midfield logo for Saturday’s game against Auburn.

Instead of the traditional Power T, Tennessee will have an interlocking U and T at midfield.

The change is for this week only as Tennessee honors General Robert Neyland.

Tennessee is also wearing special smokey grey uniforms against Auburn to honor Neyland.

The UT logo that Tennessee will use on Saturday is from the 1952 season.

Tennessee also had an interlocking UT from 1989 to 1997 — before switching to the Power T in 1998 — but it had a slightly different look.
