Whether it's donating hundreds of thousands of dollars for an opposing quarterback throwing a touchdown to break a historic drought, or rising up to support their franchise quarterback after a devastating personal loss, the fanbase is always there.
Bills Mafia loves their team and the team loves the Bills Mafia. The city of good neighbors is equally kind as they are passionate about their sports teams.
The only fan base that is actually in the state of New York nearly broke the internet, sort of. With the announcement that Buffalo would be playing in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Bills Mafia have been itching to go international, once again.
Buffalo News reported that fans who had pre-registered to get tickets for the London game woke up with an unbelievable surprise. Before 7 am EST, some fans found that their spot in line for tickets was over an hour wait and that they were in spots exceeding 300,000 in line.
While pre-registration was required, the rules said that the spots in the line would be randomly assigned when the tickets went on sale. That left many who waited for hours before the on-sale time frustrated. Within an hour, only single tickets remained.
Whether a system glitch or an actual number, Bills Mafia once again proved why they are one of the best, if not the best, fan bases in all of sports. We are months away from meaningful football. Yet, fans are waking up at the crack of dawn to sit in a virtual line with over 300,000 other devout fans to catch a game across the pond.
At first glance, it appears that Bills Mafia will be taking over London. While Jacksonville has the advantage in that they will already be in London from the week prior, don't be surprised if the stadium is packed with Bills jerseys and memorabilia.
