There's a massive debate raging in the NFL right now and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen ended up in the middle of it on Monday morning.
Earlier this month, former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer said that he thinks Joe Burrow is a better quarterback than Patrick Mahomes.
Palmer cited Burrow's "consistency" as the reason he puts the former LSU star over Mahomes, who has two Super Bowl MVPs on his resumé.
Most folks probably agree that Mahomes stands alone as the best quarterback in the NFL right now. He has all the accolades that other quarterbacks are chasing.
And when it comes to who the No. 2 quarterback in the NFL is, there are some mixed opinions.
Some feel like it's Burrow, while others, like NFL Network host Kyle Brandt, think it's Allen.
Brandt made it clear on "Good Morning Football" on Monday morning that he'd take Allen over Burrow.
"Is Burrow the second-best quarterback in the NFL?" asked Brandt on Monday morning. "Is Burrow that guy? Because then there's like six dudes [in that conversation]. You have Allen and Jalen [Hurts]. I still think that I'd rather have Allen just because I think he has more talent and I think he has more stuff going on with the running and everything."
For now, Burrow has the edge over Allen after the Cincinnati Bengals' win against the Bills in the playoffs this past season.
But Allen will get his chance to even the score in 2023 as the Bills are set to visit the Bengals. We don't know yet when that game will take place (the NFL schedule will be officially announced in May), but we know that the meeting between Buffalo and Cincinnati will be one of the most anticipated matchups of the season.
