The Denver Broncos are going to look completely different in 2023, but especially the offense. At least, that's what we are bound to think with a new head coach in Sean Payton who has had plenty of successful offenses in the past.

Now he is tasked with turning around what was a horrible offense, the worst in the league actually, and making it better. It doesn't have to be otherworldly or amazing the first year, it just needs to be better. We can expect that.

But, that's about the only thing we can expect. Sure, we know what Payton liked to do with his offenses in the past, but we don't know for sure if that's exactly what he will do this year. We don't really know anything about the offense besides what we put together.

But one NFL analyst and a Broncos expert released an interesting tidbit of information on the offense to better help us understand what we may see in 2023.

"I think the first part Sean Payton has accomplished is guys like Mike McGlinchey and Samaje Perine, he has convinced them about what he envisions this offense to be," James Palmer on NFL Network said. "He had to do that when he met with both of them and others that they brought in in the free agency, and he convinced them about what he envisions to happen with this entire offense. You look at Ben Powers, you look at Chris Manhertz coming in as a fullback, and I mentioned Samaje Perine as a running back – he's bringing in a physical group around Russell Wilson and it looks to be that they want this to be a physical offense that has a two-back system.

"That's something that Perine was definitely sold on because his role was expected to increase from Cincinnati. They want to increase it because of the way he's caught the football, the way he's run the football. There are never negative plays when carrying it. My point of this, it just looks like Sean Payton has brought a lot of physicality around Russell Wilson. That's our first indication of what we have seen from this offense. He hasn't really said anything else to anybody about what he envisions he's specifically doing with."

We can only assume that Payton wants to have a physical run game that pounds the rock and runs it down the other team's throats to eventually set up the deep ball on play-action. It won't look exactly like it, but I feel like a similar offense to what we saw in Seattle with Wilson is something we could see again.

They will run a lot of 13 personnel, which is two running backs and one tight end, and those guys will all be able to block and be physical. While we don't know exactly what it will look like, we can assume it will be better.
