The Indianapolis Colts need some things to go their way in the 2023 NFL Draft. That is the case when the team is sitting No. 4 overall in a draft where three quarterbacks could realistically go within the first three picks.

Fortunately, there are four quarterbacks that have been linked to the Colts at different points in the pre-draft process. All four are regarded as top-10 selections. Meaning that Indianapolis won't come away empty handed. Even if they don't get their top guy.

The latest NFL Draft buzz suggests that the Colts could very well come away with one of the consensus top-two signal callers in the draft. Because it may not be a formality that the Houston Texans grab a passer, after all.

In that case, the draft could go in so many different directions. Houston could then take Alabama star pass rusher Will Anderson before the Arizona Cardinals make their decision about drafting at No. 3 overall or trading out of it to a team looking to move up.

CJ Stroud was once viewed as the favorite to go No. 1 to the Carolina Panthers. However, recent reports point to Bryce Young being the pick. If the Texans don't grab Stroud, there is a real scenario where the Ohio State passer is still on the board for the Colts to take.

Indianapolis is doing their homework on Stroud. The Colts were present at his pro day, met with him earlier this month, and hosted the former Buckeyes signal caller for a top-30 pre-draft visit on Friday.

There have been mixed reports on who the Colts may favor when on the clock. Anthony Richardson and Will Levis are intriguing prospects with exciting upside if their development goes as planned.

However, the thought of Stroud still being an option for the Colts seemed far-fetched when the Panthers made their trade up with the Bears. Now, there is real smoke that he could be on the board when Indianapolis turns their selection in.

That would be a huge break for general manager Chris Ballard. If nothing else, that would mean Indianapolis has some good options to choose from when deciding who their next franchise signal caller will be.
