The Minnesota Vikings continue to bolster their secondary through free agency with the latest signing.
On Monday, the Vikings announced that the team had come to an agreement with CB Joejuan Williams.
A second-round pick n the 2019 NFL Draft, Williams spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots. He’s played in 36 games with one career start in that timespan, but missed the entirety of the 2022 season due to a shoulder injury.
At 6’3” 212lbs, Williams possesses the physical tools needed to become a weapon at cornerback. The Vanderbilt product was highly regarded coming out of college due to his ball skills and physicality, which are traits defensive coordinator Brian Flores looks for in his defensive backs.
The 25-year-old becomes the sixth cornerback on the Vikings roster. He joins Byron Murphy Jr., Kalon Barnes, Andrew Booth, Jr., Akayleb Evans, and Tay Gowan.
