Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker is hoping to be selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Hooker, however, has an uphill battle to climb due to the torn ACL he suffered in Tennessee's loss to South Carolina this past November.

The Greensboro, NC has made the best of the pre-draft process despite not being able to work out for NFL teams.

Hooker has impressed in meetings with NFL teams thanks to his maturity, intelligence, knowledge of the game, and leadership abilities.

According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Hooker is set to meet with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday.

The Saints have the No. 29 overall pick in the draft. They also have an unsettled quarterback situation.

New Orleans also has the No. 40 overall selection in the draft so they could also look at taking the former Vol in the second round if he falls that far.

Hooker's former Vols teammate, cornerback Alontae Taylor, is a budding star for the Saints. New Orleans should have plenty of information on Hooker after meeting with the talented quarterback on Tuesday. It wouldn't be a surprise if Hooker lands with the Saints considering their need at the quarterback position.
