The Philadelphia Eagles currently control two first-round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. Howie Roseman will have the No. 9 and No. 30 picks in this year's first round.

Star running back Bijan Robinson, offensive lineman Peter Skoronski, and defensive back Christian Gonzalez are some of the players who have frequently been mocked to the Eagles at No. 9.

With the 30th pick, Roseman will have many options. However, one player that Roseman is said to be infatuated with may not be an option at 30.

Last week, it was reported that Roseman "loves" Adetomiwa Adebawore, the talented edge-rusher out of Northwestern. Tony Pauline of the Pro Football Network dropped that tidbit of information while on the Football Insiders show.

This week, Pauline's tune has changed slightly. While the veteran reporter still says that Roseman loves the edge-rusher, he no longer finds it likely for the Eagles to draft Adebawore at No. 30.

Pauline said the following:

Two weeks ago, during the Football Insiders show with Trey Wingo and Brett Yaris, I mentioned Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, “loves Northwestern defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore.”

And while Roseman loves him, it does not seem likely that the Eagles take him with the 30th pick. The Eagles defense will be going to more of a 3-4 the upcoming season and would be looking for a two-gap lineman as opposed to the one-gap/three-technique defender Adebawore projects to be.

Pauline reports that the Eagles will utilize more 3-4 looks in 2023, which could make Adebawore a poor fit. Adebawore projects to be a 4-3 defensive end at the next level, and would be undersized for a defensive tackle.

Adebawore had an excellent season in 2022, finishing with five sacks, nine tackles for loss, and 38 tackles. The former Wildcat is projected to be an early day two pick.

If there's anything we know for sure, it's that you cannot predict what Howie Roseman will do. The GM has made over 40 draft day trades in his career and has plenty of ammo to add to that total in 2023.
