The Las Vegas Raiders could be without one of their best players for the foreseeable future. Now, it isn't because he will get injured or has gotten injured, or anything like that, but instead because of the draft.

Yeah, sounds weird, but the draft could be the very reason he isn't on the team next year. He could be traded on draft night. Who is that guy, well, it's none other than the best running back in 2022, Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs has been with the team for a while now and has made the most of his time with the Raiders. He has been a great running back, especially last year. But, as of right now, it would appear that he and the Raiders can't quite come to an agreement on a new contract, which is why he was franchise tagged.

Being tagged isn't a bad thing, but I'm sure players definitely don't like it. The Raiders want him around, but to the player, it could feel like the team is delaying the fact they have to pay the player.

In this case, there are odds that Jacobs could get traded on draft night, in a move that would be very similar to the A.J. Brown – Philadelphia Eagles trade we saw last draft.

According to Sportsbetting.Ag, the Raiders star running back at +900 odds to be traded on draft night, behind Austin Ekeler, Dalvin Cook, Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and DeAndre Hopkins.

If this does happen, I think the Raiders would be able to get a first-round pick for Jacobs. Maybe a team like Philadelphia trades their late first-round pick for him if they can't get one of the other running backs on this list.

We know the Eagles have been connected to wanting to trade for Henry, but that could fall through. I don't know if I would bet on Jacobs getting traded, but those odds aren't terrible.
