Giants' HC still doesn't know what to expect from the Eagles' most dangerous weapon

eagles, giants, hurts

The Philadelphia Eagles will be playing the New York Giants for the second time in three weeks, only the Eagles didn't play a game in between their last matchup together as the Giants did.

Both of these teams will likely be very different than the ones we saw in Week 18.

The Giants used their backups in Week 18 and still nearly beat an Eagles team that played their starters. Look at how badly they beat up on the Vikings last week to advance. This Giants team is a bit different than the one they played in December.

Philly may use Hurts differently than he did in Week 18. If you go back and watch, hurts was still obviously hurt, and they didn't use any designed runs like they did the entire season. We could see that or what we saw all year, depending on his health.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll was asked about that aspect of the game this weekend.

"I think you’ve got to go through all the tape from the entire year at this time of year and plan for everything," Daboll told reporters. "Again, there’s only 65 to 75 plays this time of year, and you’ve got to make sure that you’re trying to give your players everything you can in terms of the preparation process of it. What they do or not do, you never know going into a game. So, it’ll be the standard procedure that we usually do.

"I don’t know," Daboll continued. "I think you’ve got to prepare for everything. (He’s) a dynamic player. I’ve said this before, he can throw it, he can pass it. That’s why he’s up there for MVP. And we’ve got a big challenge ahead."

For the sake of a potential Super Bowl, and the sake of the fans, let's hope they use Hurts the right way because he is healthy enough. If they play as they did in Week 18, they can forget about making the Super Bowl.

That's just another big reason why getting the one seed was such a priority because now they had the bye week to rest and prepare. let's hope we see the right team, the team we saw all season, come out and get a win.
