While the Buffalo Bills may be looking to move on from RB Devin Singletary, the need for a playmaker is still evident.
WR Stefon Diggs is the one true consistent threat outside, playing among a deep, yet inconsistent core of receivers:
Gabriel Davis has one of the worst catch percentages on the team (among qualified players) at 51.6%, despite his impressive 17.4 yards per reception. Khalil Shakir has potential but hasn't yet seen the volume to add confidence. Isaiah McKenzie has found a new life as a reliable slot receiver in the Bills offense, but more as a player to move the chains and not so much as someone to consistently take the heat off Diggs.
Which may no longer be an issue. The Minnesota Vikings are expected to begin working on a new deal for Justin Jefferson, but due to their cap restraints will be forced to make moves.
One of which that has been floated around is moving on from WR Adam Thielen, who's been with the organization since 2013.
If the Vikings are to move on from Thielen, it will be due to Jefferson's contract this year, as well as TJ Hockenson and KJ Osborne next season.
It likely wouldn't cost the Minnesota Vikings much to obtain the two-time Pro Bowl receiver. Moving Theilen in a post-June 1st move would open up $13 million in cap space from the Vikings.
If the Buffalo Bills want to make a trade move, the market for a wide receiver is based on their market as well as how much money the receiving team eats.
Likely at most a fourth-round pick and a conditional pick in 2024.
While not a flashy pick, Theilen still has good hands and is a solid route runner as you'll find in the league.
How much will the Bills desire to give QB Josh Allen another established outside weapon?
