The Denver Broncos were so close to having at least one happy ending to the end of the season, as there is still one more regular season game to be played.

This season has been tough, to say the least. It has definitely been one of the toughest fans can remember in quite some time.

With all of the expectations going into this season, and all of the letdowns there have been by the end of it, it's safe to say everyone involved with this team, staff, coaches, players, and fans, are all ready for the season to be over.

This loss was tough, too. The Broncos were so close to winning with a new coach on the sidelines. Jerry Rosburg, the interim head coach filling in after the firing of Nathaniel Hackett, feels for this team with everything they have been through.

"I'm heartbroken for those guys because they deserved a win, and I'm heartbroken for our Denver fans because of this whole streak thing…it's got to stop," Rosburg said after the loss. "The only way it's going to stop is if we stop making errors down the stretch…

"I made a commitment to those men in that room to be a better coach this week. I've got one week to coach this team. And I've got to be better this week. And they've got to be better."

This game was very winnable. The Broncos had the lead heading into the fourth quarter and had ample opportunities to extend it but they just couldn't.

The Broncos would have liked to win this game. They want to win the next one too because they aren't playing for a pick in the draft. Now, it's all about what good they can find to carry over into the next season. It's about finding an identity, as James Palmer of NFL Network reported before the game, the coaches know they don't have one.

"Here's the deal, we didn't come here to try to look good and hold up," Rosburg continued. "We came here to win."

The Broncos are still win-less in division play at 0-5. But, there is still one more chance to get a win starting next week against the Chargers.
