The Las Vegas Raiders have been a part of some drama this offseason, but not by design. Of course, the Derek Carr has been by design, but the Aaron Rodgers drama hasn't.
With Carr soon to be leaving town, the Raiders need a new quarterback, and everyone has been making the immediate connection to Rodgers, who may be looking for a new home this offseason and has ties to star receiver Davante Adams.
Earlier this week, Adams tweeted out, trolling of course as he later revealed, that Rodgers would be moving into Adams' neighborhood. Since then, it seems like the drama and intensity of this happening have increased significantly.
It has increased so much, that during Rodgers' weekend at pebble beach playing in a golf tourney, Rodgers heard Raiders fans more than any other. You can hear him playing along with a Raiders fan telling him to move next to Adams and him saying for Adams to pay for it with all the money he has. And then there is another video of fans doing the Raiders chant and Rodgers smiley uncontrollably.
He commented on the wild weekend he had after the tournament as seen on NFL Network.
"Such a great event fans are amazing," Rodgers said. "Lot of people yelling different teams, they want me to come to next year, which has been fun because we got a little inside bet going about which team is going to have the most fans, but it's been fun. I'm just going to say that the dominant team that we hear as we're walking is the Raiders. A lot of Davante [Adams] misses you comments, so we're having some fun with it."
The Raiders could use Rodgers, and I don't think there are many people who wouldn't want him. So, maybe it is a good thing this suspense and drama is intensifying this week.
it will definitely be something to monitor.
