The Philadelphia Eagles are not playing good football as of late, and I think we can all see that very clearly, which is why defensive tackle Fletcher Cox kept it real with the media on Thursday.

This is the first time all year that the Eagles have lost two straight games, while only having three losses on the year, two to division opponents, and one more division opponent left on the schedule.

They aren't in the same place as they were a few weeks ago, and yeah, having your MVP-caliber quarterback in Jalen Hurts could help that, but that's no excuse.

Now, as we have said for three weeks now, all they have to do is win a game, and the rest will take care of itself. Control the things they can control.

"We have everything right in front of us," Cox said. "You know, it's right here. We did this to ourselves. So, we have to dig ourselves out of this hole, and get back to winning football, you know? We have lost two in a row, something we haven't done all year. For us, I think it's just everyone kind of refocus… and just take it one day at a time."

Cox is more than right when saying they did this to themselves. There is no one else to blame. If you look at both of their last two losses, they were very winnable games.

Not only were they winnable games, but they could also have taken the lead or had the lead in both games. I think it is fair of me to say that this team beat themselves the last two games, not the other way around, and they absolutely cannot do that this Sunday.

They could catch a break, just in case the Eagles still don't have their stuff together, against the Giants, as New York is resting players, or at least that's what we think. They are either sitting guys out, or putting them on a snap count.

Either way, the Eagles have the advantage, and the last time these two teams played each other, it got ugly very quickly. Hopefully, we can see the Eagles dig themselves out of that hole on Sunday, and put on the same show.
