The Philadelphia Eagles played their worst game of the season against the New Orleans Saints. This offseason, we saw the Eagles fleece the Saints in a trade for C.J. Gardner-Johnson, but on Sunday we saw the Saints fleece a win from Philly.

They were supposed to win this game easily, with or without MVP Candidate Jalen Hurts. But, instead, they find a way to have their worst offensive output of the season. Not to mention the fact that their defense couldn't stop some of the most basic things either.

All they needed was one win to clinch the number one seed in the NFC, but, now they have other things to worry about.

"I could give two f—s about clinching the first-place seed right now," center Jason Kelce said. "We’ve got to get a lot of things fixed."

And, Kelce is right, they do have some things to fix. The offense can't have games like that against a team like New Orleans, and the defense has to do a better job of putting pressure on the other team, in every area.

But, it isn't quite time to press the panic button. There is still one more week to fix things before the playoffs start.

“We played a really bad game today offensively,” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said. “We’ll just have to look and get better from it. Again, I’m not ever going to be somebody that is going to hit a panic button. We’re going to double down on the things we think are true and that we know are true, and we’re going to get better from this. That’s all we can do. We have to own what we just put out there and get better from it by owning it and correcting the mistakes with great detail.”

The Eagles are still in a position to clinch the number one seed in the NFC, but the only thing they can control now is winning on Sunday over the New York Giants, who could possibly be resting players.

This could, or very well couldn't, be a good opportunity to fix the things that need to be fixed, especially if Hurts is back.
