Eagles HC never wavered when the odds were against him in 2021

The Philadelphia Eagles have been from the bottom to now being at the very top, well, almost at the very top. One more win and they can say that, but you know what I mean.
It is crazy the turnaround this franchise had. They went from 4-11 in 2020, and not making the playoffs, to a 2-5 start the next season in Sirianni's first seven games as a head coach, to now in the Super Bowl. Everything has come full circle for this team, and they deserve all of the success they get.
But, is this something head coach Nick Sirianni saw coming? Some would say of course, and some would say no. Sirianni kept it real when asked that after the 31-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
"Honestly when you think about the present and only about the present, you don't think about what's gonna happen two years down the road, you don't," Sirianni said. "And I think that was the biggest lesson of being 2-5 is hey, we got a big hole to climb out of and if I look at this mountain and I say to myself, I gotta climb this mountain. It's gonna be a big chance. It's gonna feel like too much of a task. But if I look at that mountain that we were in and say, we just gotta climb this part today and we gotta climb this part tomorrow.
"We kind of climb this, you don't think about it, you just think about that today. I think that's what that teaches you. And so you don't think about what could happen two years down the road, you just put the work in, right Just put the work in each time. I'm just happy we got the result of where we are right now because the guys have just, put their heads down and worked day by day, and now we're in this spot and we're gonna go and give it our best shot here in a couple of weeks."
Sirianni had his introductory press conference two years ago from this last Sunday, on the date. I don't know if anyone remembers, but people watched his press conference and immediately counted him out as a head coach, just because he was nervous and stuttered a bit.
Now he is on his way to Arizona, but not to play the Cardinals. People didn't have faith in this team, as if they didn't make the playoffs last season, and got better in the offseason.
Sirianni never wavered when everyone counted him out and his team. He just kept building a culture, one that's relative to winning, kept his head down, and won ball games.
