Hopefully, this article will be primarily irrelevant by Sunday.

If theTennesee Titans win on Saturday, they will win the division, and fans won’t have to worry about draft position for at least another week.

However, winning Sunday is no sure thing, and if the Titans do lose, they are in a position to receive a very high and impactful draft pick.

The Titans currently hold the 11th pick and are tied with the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets at 7-9. The NFL Draft tiebreaker is Strength of Schedule. The Titans currently have a.504 strength of schedule, which puts them ahead of the Browns and Jets but slightly behind the Saints.

There are also three teams ahead of them in the draft order that sit at 6-10. Those teams are the Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, and the Carolina Panthers. All three teams currently have a lower strength of schedule than the Titans, but all sit within .04 percentage points or less from the Titans.

That means that with help from around the league, the Titans can move as high as eighth in the draft with a loss on Saturday. With a win, they will likely pick between 19th and 22nd unless they advance to the divisional round.

Who To Root For

  1. Raiders over Chiefs
  2. Falcons over Buccaneers
  3. Saints over Panthers
  4. Browns over Steelers

If these four results happen, and the Titans lose, they will have no worse than the 11th pick and potentially as high as the eighth pick. Considering all the needs on this Titans roster, having the opportunity to pick in the top ten for the first time since 2017 could add a much-needed talent boost to an aging group.

AFC South Implications

Additionally, a matchup for Titans fans to keep their eye on is the Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts. This matchup has massive draft implications and could decide the future of two division rivals.

If the Colts win, the Texans secure the number one pick in the draft, while the Colts would pick at either five or six.

If the Colts lose, they will pick no later than fifth and could move up as high as third. In this scenario, the Texans would get the second pick if the Chicago Bears lost or the first pick if the Bears won or tied.

It is up to Titans fans to figure out which scenario they think is better for the future of the division. Either way, there is plenty for Titans fans to look out for on Sunday, no matter the result of Saturday's massive showdown.
