The Las Vegas Raiders recently released their former franchise quarterback Derek Carr, which now leaves them with the problem of finding who their next quarterback will be.

Of course, there is speculation out there, but nothing is set in stone. Aaron Rodgers seems to be the guy everyone wants. But, he is still on contract with the Packers, so that move would have to happen via trade.

There is one report and rumor out there that does help the Raiders though.

Carr visited the New York Jets a few days ago. What does this have to with the Raiders considering Carr isn't there anymore? Well, I'm glad you asked because it actually has a lot to do with the silver and black.

Rodgers, as we said, is the guy that everybody wants. However, there are other potential suitors for the Packers quarterback. The Jets have been a name that's been thrown out there as well.

If Carr is visiting the Jets, that's a guy they can get for cheap and won't have to trade picks away, while it is also an immediate upgrade over Zach Wilson.

The Jets signing Carr, or any other quarterback not named Rodgers, eliminates them from getting him. And hen that eliminates them from getting Rodgers, it only increases the Raiders' chances of lading the guy we all want to see wear the shield.

The Raiders also have one thing that may entice the Rodgers trade, well maybe two things. They have Davante Adams, Rodgers' former running mate, and they have a ton of cap space.

Las Vegas could bring Rodgers in, and give him some help. This may be the best place for Rodgers to go if he wants to win as well.

The Carr free agency rumors only help the Raiders, if some of them come true.
